Peptic ulcers and tuberculosis are some of the more common diseases that can adversely affect a person’s health and quality of life. Peptic ulcers are open sores that form in the lining of the stomach, oesophagus, and/or small intestines and can lead to burning stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and/or blood in vomit. Tuberculosis, on the other hand, is an airborne bacterial infection whose symptoms may range from mild to severe, depending on the individual and the state of the disease. To understand these diseases, it’s important to discuss their dangers, symptoms, and tests for diagnosis.

One of the dangers associated with both peptic ulcers and tuberculosis is the risk of the diseases becoming more severe or spreading to other parts of the body if not properly treated. Peptic ulcers can potentially cause internal bleeding or increase the risk of stomach cancer, while tuberculosis can cause serious damage to the lungs and even spread to the brain or other organs.

Moreover, even after substances such as antibiotics have been taken to treat the disease, it’s likely for tuberculosis to remain dormant in the body, activating again when the immune system is weakened.
